There are a great many rental comparison sites and most of them are the same site. This one is small, it is about one island, and it is written by the two people who run it rather than assembled from a feed.

Tenerife Airport Car Rental is a booking site for hire cars on one island. You search, you see the cars that are actually available on your dates with their real deposits and excesses attached, and you book with the supplier. We are not a rental company, we do not own any cars, and the contract is between you and whoever hands you the keys.
What we do is the part that usually goes badly: showing you what a rental will actually require of you before you commit to it, rather than after you have landed. The deposit, the excess, whether a credit card is mandatory, what the cover excludes. All of that exists on every booking anywhere; it is simply not usually visible until you are standing at a counter with a queue behind you.
How we make money
Commission, from the supplier, when a booking completes. You pay the same whether you come through us or not. That is worth saying plainly because it explains the one bias we do have: we would rather you booked something than nothing. It also explains why we do not have the other bias people expect, which is a reason to push you toward a particular supplier or an expensive extra. We are paid the same either way.
We have no relationship with any individual rental company, we do not take payment for placement, and there is no advertising on this site.

we will not do.
We will not invent a review score
This site is new and it has no reviews of its own, so it does not display any. Star ratings borrowed from somewhere else, or averaged out of nothing, are the commonest lie in this industry and we would rather show you a blank.
We will not write a price into a sentence
Every figure on this site is read live from the availability feed when the page renders. A price typed into prose is out of date within a day and wrong for somebody within an hour, so there are none.
We will not claim to be the cheapest
There are Canarian companies that undercut what is listed here on a like-for-like small car. Where the money goes on a Tenerife rental says so, because a claim that dissolves under five minutes of checking is worse than no claim.
We will not guess at a drive time
Every journey time on this site is measured by routing, quoted at or above the routed figure, and re-measured when a page changes. Understating a drive is the error that makes people miss flights, so we publish the larger number when two measurements disagree.
We will not tell you something we have not checked
Where we do not have an answer in writing, the question does not go on the page at all. A confident guess about what a supplier will allow is how somebody ends up arguing at a desk on the first morning of a holiday, and a hedged guess is still a guess.
Where the facts come from
The prices and counts come from the live availability feed, refreshed on a schedule and re-read when you search. The drive times are routed from each pick-up point separately, which is why a location page quotes the times from where it stands rather than the ones from the airport. The rental conditions are reproduced in full on the conditions every booking is made under rather than summarised into something friendlier.
The road rules come from the Spanish traffic authority, and where they changed recently we say when. The V-16 beacon requirement that replaced warning triangles on the first of January 2026 is the one most visitors have not heard of, and it is on what the TF numbers mean along with the rest.
Why one island, and why this one
Comparison sites are usually wide and shallow: every country, every airport, one template and a feed. That works for finding a price and it is useless for the questions people actually have, which are all local. How long is the drive really. Is the small road worth it. Does the resort office have anything on it in February. Nobody who has never driven the TF-436 can answer the second of those, and no template can.
So this site does one island and tries to know it properly. Every drive time on it is routed from the point it is quoted from. Every pick-up point was enumerated against the live booking system rather than assumed, which turned up several that nobody else lists, and every pick-up point on the island carries what the stock is actually like at each one.
Tenerife specifically because it rewards a car more than almost anywhere its size. It is eighty kilometres long with two climates, a two-thousand-metre road across the middle, and a public transport network built for people who live here rather than people visiting. The gap between a week with a car and a week without one is larger here than the price of the car, which is a genuinely unusual thing to be able to say.
Getting hold of us
By email, at info@tenerifeairportcarrental.com. There is no phone number, deliberately: we are two people and a phone line we could not answer reliably would be worse than no phone line. Email gets read, and questions about a specific booking get answered fastest if you include the voucher reference.
If your car is not there, or something has gone wrong at a desk, call the supplier on your voucher first. They are the ones who can actually fix it. Then tell us, because we want to know which suppliers are causing problems.
