What this
site stores,
and what it does not.
Written to be read rather than to be complied with. The short version: we store almost nothing ourselves, the booking widget stores what it needs to run a search, and the analytics can be switched off from your browser.
The short version
This site has no accounts, no login, and no newsletter. We do not ask you for a name, an address or a card number, and there is nowhere on it that you could give us one. When you book, that happens inside the booking system, and the details you enter there go to it and to the supplier rather than to us.
What we keep is aggregate: how many people looked at a page, which pages they came from, and whether a search turned into a booking. We use that to work out which pages are useless and rewrite them.

The booking system
The search and the booking flow are provided by a white-label rental platform. It sets its own cookies and local storage to remember your search: the pick-up point, the dates, the times and the filters. Without those it cannot carry your search from one step to the next. Anything you type into a booking form goes to it and to the supplier who will hand you the keys.
Google Analytics
Aggregate traffic measurement, and the booking-funnel events that tell us whether a search led anywhere. It is loaded lazily, after the page is interactive. Any browser-level tracking block or a privacy extension stops it, and nothing on this site breaks when it is blocked.
Vercel
The hosting. Like every web host it processes the request logs needed to serve a page: IP address, user agent, the URL requested. We do not query those and they are not joined to anything else.
Google Fonts
The two typefaces this site uses are self-hosted at build time rather than fetched from Google on each visit, so no request leaves your browser for them and no third party sees your address because of a font.
Cookies and what they are for
Three groups, and only one of them is optional.
The booking widget's own storage holds your search while you are making it. It is functional: removing it means the search cannot remember where you wanted to collect the car between one screen and the next.
One preference of ours, which is the light or dark setting. It is stored in your browser and never sent anywhere. If it is not set, the site follows whatever your operating system asks for.
Analytics, which is the optional group. Block it at browser level or with an extension and everything else on the site behaves identically.
How to turn things off
Analytics respond to any of the standard browser controls: a tracking-protection setting, a content blocker, or clearing site data. We do not attempt to work around any of them and there is no fingerprinting fallback.
Clearing site data also removes the theme preference and the booking widget's search memory, which is the trade. Nothing is lost that cannot be set again in a few seconds.
What we would tell you if you asked
If you want to know what we hold about you, the honest answer for almost everyone is nothing identifiable: no account exists, no email address was collected, and the analytics record is aggregate rather than personal. If you have emailed us, we have that email in a mailbox, and if you want it deleted, ask and it will be.
Anything relating to a booking itself, including cancellation and refunds, sits with the booking system and the supplier rather than with us. Those conditions are on the conditions every booking is made under, quoted in full.

This page is the current state of the site, and it changes when the site does. If a third party is ever added, it gets named above before it goes live rather than afterwards.

Look without telling us anything.
You can price a whole trip on this site without entering a single personal detail. Nothing is asked for until you are inside the booking flow, and that goes to the supplier rather than to us.
