Can you rent a seven seater in Los Cristianos?

When one is offered on your dates, yes. Where do the children sit in a seven seater?

Spanish law decides it by height, not age. Children of 135 cm and under must travel in an approved restraint suited to their weight and size, and as a general rule they travel in the rear seats. In a seven seater the third row counts as the back and the front does not, so plan where the restraints go before the car arrives.

The front passenger seat is allowed only by exception: when the car has no rear seats, when every rear seat is already taken by another child in a restraint, or when the restraints cannot all be fitted in the back. An unsecured child is a 200 euro fine and three licence points.

What do you need when the car is delivered?

The handover happens at your address, so have everything there. The licence card itself, valid, with its details in Latin script and in date until the end of the rental; copies and electronic licences are not accepted. The card in the main driver's name, physical and embossed: a credit card, or a debit card where the booking and the voucher say one is accepted.

And the phone on the booking, with its country code, reachable from the day before the delivery to the end of the rental. Check the V-16 emergency beacon is in the car at the handover: it replaced warning triangles in Spanish-registered vehicles on 1 January 2026, and not carrying one is an 80 euro fine.

Where do you park and fill up in Los Cristianos?

The car park on Calle Valle Menéndez is covered, open 24 hours every day, and has a maximum height of 2.2 m, so make sure a larger vehicle clears it before you drive in. On the street, blue lines mark metered bays with a time limit, unmarked white bays are free, and yellow means no parking.

The BP on Bulevar Chajofe 2 is open 24 hours. Return the car at the fuel level it had at delivery; below it the difference is charged at the rental company's rates, and above it you are not compensated. A car handed back so dirty that it cannot be inspected is washed at your expense.

How far is it from Los Cristianos?

Playa de las Américas is about 10 minutes away without traffic, and Costa Adeje about 14, where a car delivered to your hotel in Costa Adejeworks the same way as here. For a day out with the family, Teide's Parador is about 53 minutes, with no fuel station inside the national park, and Masca about 36, where the TF-436 can be under daytime access control for wildfire risk, so check before you set off.
